Andrew Harvey was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history. At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor.
By 1977 Andrew Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows; later, in 1990, he would collaborate with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.
In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew Harvey had been born. It was this meeting that helped him synthesize the whole of his mystical explorations and reconcile eastern with western mysticism.
Andrew Harvey has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The California Institute of Integral Studies, and the University of Creation Spirituality as well as the at various spiritual centers throughout the United States. He was the subject of the 1993 BBC film documentary The Making of a Modern Mystic and appears also in Rumi Turning Ecstatic and The Consciousness of the Christ: Reclaiming Jesus for A New Humanity.
Andrew Harvey is Founder Director of the Institute of Sacred Activism. He also has a spiritual counseling practice in Chicago and is available for spiritual direction via phone.

Saniel Bonder is the author of Healing the Spirit/Matter Split and the founder of the Waking Down in Mutuality work. He has been a pioneer in the widespread embodiment and mutual, evolutionary exploration of awakened consciousness for over a decade.
Born in New York to Jewish parents in 1950, growing up mostly in North Carolina, Saniel felt from early on that he “was going to be part of something that would change the course of human history — for the better.” By the time he received a B.A. in Social Relations from Harvard in 1972, a quest for spiritual enlightenment had become the focus of his life.
During the years of his search he benefited from both Eastern and Western teachings and transmissions — as well as from the training in integrity, tolerance, compassion, and perseverance he received from his parents and secondary school mentors. His quest culminated in December 1992 in the awakening he calls his Second Birth.
Saniel and Linda are co-authoring their first book together, The Sun in Your Heart Is Rising: Twelve Gateways to Your Unique Awakening, Evolution & Destiny, due out in 2011.
Linda Groves-Bonder is Saniel Bonder’s full partner in The White-Hot Yoga of the Heart transmission and teachings and a Founding and Senior Teacher of the Waking Down in Mutuality work.
Linda was born into a large family in the Midwest. As a young child, she recognized inconsistencies in the teachings of her native Catholicism. In adult life she was never attracted to join any formal spiritual organization. She gravitated to an experiential path, learning life lessons through meditation, reading, and attending seminars and workshops. From her childhood, her intuitional support and compassionate counseling of others took place quite naturally.
Upon first attending Saniel’s meditation gatherings in October 1994, she was deeply attracted to his work. She grew quickly in the process, entering her Second Birth in August 1996. She soon became moved to teach, eventually giving up her career as a professional photo-stylist to concentrate in transmitting and teaching the Waking Down in Mutuality process. Linda swiftly became a partner to Saniel not only in practical instruction of others but also in deep “holding” of the White-Hot Being-force and spiritual space of the work as a whole.
Saniel and Linda are co-authoring their first book together, The Sun in Your Heart Is Rising: Twelve Gateways to Your Unique Awakening, Evolution & Destiny, due out in 2011.
Anodea Judith, Ph.D. is a best-selling author, international workshop presenter, psychologist, yoga teacher, philosopher, and evolutionary activist, whose passion is awakening humanity to its amazing potential before we throw it all away. Ordained as a priestess in 1985, she served in the Church of All Worlds for 20 years, as president and founder of its teaching organization, Lifeways, which led to her research in ancient history, mythology, and Goddess traditions.
Since her first book on the chakras (Wheels of Life, 1987) became a classic, her many books have been translated into 16 languages and spawned the birth of her current organization, Sacred Centers. Having spent two decades as a somatic psychotherapist working with individuals, she left her practice to teach worldwide and address the issues that affect us all. Her latest book, Waking the Global Heart: Humanity’s Rite of Passage from the Love of Power to the Power of Love charts our social evolution to the current time and won two literary awards for best book on social change and mind-body-spirit.
She also produced an award-winning DVD, The Illuminated Chakras, which has traveled the world in 7 languages, delighting audiences everywhere.
Lisa Schrader is a sacred sexuality teacher, author, and coach and the founder of Awakening Shakti. Her work has been featured on Oprah, Oxygen and VH1. She is the author of "Kama Sutra 52: A Year's Worth of the Best Positions for Passion and Pleasure" from Quiver Books. She's a certified coach with the International Coach Federation and has been in private practice for over 10 years supporting women and couples with awakening their sacred sexual power.
We live in a culture deeply conflicted about sexuality, both obsessed and repressed. Like junk food addicts, we gorge on empty calories in a futile effort to feed some deeper hunger. Sometimes we starve ourselves. We long for the deep nourishment of soulful, sacred union with ourselves and with our Beloveds. Our sexual energy, kundalini, life force or "Shakti," is the most potent form of energy we have access to. As we heal, honor, and awaken our sacred sexual energy, we can channel this power into serving greater joy, pleasure, love, creativity, and transformation in our lives.
Stephen Dinan is the founder and CEO of The Shift Network and a member of the prestigious Evolutionary Leadership Council. He is also the author of Radical Spirit (New World Library), and a forthcoming book Sacred America. Stephen directed and helped to create the Esalen Institute's Center for Theory & Research, a think tank for leading scholars, researchers, and teachers to explore human potential frontiers.
Devaa Haley Mitchell works as a spiritual guide and leadership coach. She runs ongoing programs to support women in awakening to their full potential through the organization she founded, Radiant Essence Services. Recently, Devaa led the Inspiring Women Summit, the largest virtual summit of women in history. Over 29,000 women from more than 121 countries gathered together in dialogues and networking circles to expand the capacities of women. Previously, Devaa served as the Director of Member Engagement at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), an organization bridging science and spirituality.
